bustard beach - campsite # 1
Eurimbula National Park
We visited in November 2010, the road is dirt with corrugations in some parts but wide enough for our Jayco Dove camper trailer. There are two campsites both run by National Parks - Middle Creek and Bustard Beach. We didn't visit Middle Creek. The campsites at Bustard Beach are large and well marked. There are composting toilets (clean and new), a large shelter shed, picnic tables and a rainwater tank with tap. Campsite number 1 overlooks the ocean, and is about 30 steps to the beach. But the SANDFLIES were almost unbearable the day we were there. Even though there was a nice breeze blowing off the ocean, we got eaten alive. What a shame, it is a glorious place, the beach is clean and the fishing is good, might be a good place to visit in winter.
